Better Offer 2010

It had been a long week, and after another course of antibiotics to rid myself of bronchitis yet again, I still wasn't feeling very well. However, I had a new camera - a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1 - and I wanted to see how it would perform in a canyon (which - let's face it - is what I bought it for). On this bright sunny day I missed first off having my DSLR with its polarising filter, but the Lumix performed well and once I've worked out what each of the many different settings is best suited for, I'm sure it will make a solid canyoning camera.
Better Offer canyon runs off the south side of the Bell's Line of Road, just a bit west from the Mt Wilson turn-off. It has a few abseils and a few wades but doesn't fall into the 'spectacular' category in any way, shape or form. There are short canyon sections with slightly scrubby creek bits in between. Perhaps had I been feeling better I might have enjoyed it more, but I can't say I'm going to be rushing back to do it again...
