Danae Brook Canyon
30th December 2006.

43. I took this photograph
after the rain had let
up enough to allow us to see. The walls along
the whole length of the canyon had become
waterfalls. A few minutes after taking this photo,
the brown rock in front of me disappeared under
a torrent of muddy water as the flash-flood came
through. I heard it and stepped out of the way
just in time as it washed up my legs, otherwise
it would have hit me full in the back and swept
me over the rock in front.
