Pipeline Canyon

Pipeline is a medium grade canyon in the Wolgan valley. There's a bit of a walk in up the Pipeline track... which translates - fortunately - into mostly downhill on the way out. This time, the normally pleasant stroll through the top part of the canyon was really unpleasant, as a recent storm had dropped at least twenty trees along the length of the gully, resulting in a lot of climbing over, under and around.... the day was hot and we scored a few injuries scrambling through the wreckage - all of which must have added at least an hour to the trip. And to think we could have had a nice easy day wallowing in Fortress Creek instead...
