Russia Eclipse Tour - Total Solar Eclipse of August 1st 2008
The brainchild of Melissa Hulbert, Astronomy Educator at the Sydney Observatory, the Russian Eclipse Tour was organised in conjunction with Harvey World Travel at Miranda (in the very capable hands of manager Ibi Selim), and Kruzcor Travel (Russia and Beyond). They managed to strike the right balance between organised day trips and free time, they put us in the care of some excellent guides - and of course they also found us an eclipse viewing site that was free of cloud!
The eclipse itself is something that words cannot do justice to -which is the reason why so many people pay so much money year after year in travelling to all corners of the globe with the hope of just catching a glimpse of one.
