These photos of the Inca Trail were taken in May 2001. The trail takes around 4 days,
depending on where you start, and although you can travel "independently" you
will need to be registered as a group of some sort.
We booked the 14 day "Inca Empire" Tour with GAP, which included the 4 day
Inca trail walk. The guides were excellent. This is one of the world's classic walks,
still well worth doing in spite of the number of people on the trail.
